Our mission

We LOVE fashion, we won’t deny it.  But the growing realisation of the negative impact that the current fast fashion cycle is having on the environment makes us feel sad.  With 1.2M tonnes of clothing and textile waste ending up in landfill each year, we feel that waste is just so last year, recycling, repurposing and reusing is the new now.

We’ve all contributed to our fair share of those one-off impulse purchases for a night out… to “that” dress bought a size too small in the hope that one day it will fit after a stint of eating dust… to a wardrobe filled with garms still with the tags on as once home you just felt that you couldn’t quite pull “that'' trend off.  After all, we’re only human. But, the fact is, we are only wearing 20% of what is in our wardrobe!

But we want to say that enough is enough.  This rate of consumption has to stop.

That doesn’t mean that we need to cage our desire for new clothes, oh no, it's about changing our consumption habits to style our wardrobes consciously.  We believe that ‘swapping’ is the new ‘shopping’.

The Frock Exchange is a sustainable fashion swap event championing the circular ethos of pre-loved fashion, providing women within the local community with a fun and reformed way of shopping for clothes to help save our environment... and our purses!  Our event gives private access to a curated edit of pre-loved womenswear allowing women to have fun updating their wardrobe and be consciously styled.

Remember that sharing is caring people. So declutter your wardrobe, donate your items and get swapping!

Charity & Sustainability:

We have a zero waste policy to support our mission to prevent any textile waste ending up in landfill, so any remaining clothes that did not find themselves a new home at our event will either be kept for the next event, or donated to one of our charity pafrtners - The Studio Projects Chislehurst chosen charity partners - The Chartwell Cancer Trust and Smile of Hope, and the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice.
