How it works

You will need to purchase a ticket to The Frock Exchange event in order to swap and shop. Click here
Tickets cost £12 per person and entitles you to entry to our event where you will have access to shop and swap pre-loved womenswear. With your ticket you will have the opportunity to bring along up to 3 items to swap (garments need to be dropped off ahead of the event). PLUS, you can exclusively receive style advice from our guest personal stylist, Rebecca Ffrancon and enjoy 2-4-1 on cocktails and cakes at Fitology!
1. Donate your unwanted items
Once you have purchased your ticket you will be invited to come along and drop off your unwanted items at one of our drop off slots at FITOLOGY ahead of the event (CLICK HERE to find out the drop off dates). Upon donation we’ll check the quality and then you’ll be assigned a corresponding number of tokens (your swapping currency) for each piece of clothing which you can then redeem at the event. Make sure that you read the rules of the clothes swap before donating your items.
2. Exchanging your garms
The swap is to give your unwanted garment(s) a loving new home and find yourself a swap (not necessarily of an equivalent value - it's about finding a new piece that you will love not like for like).
When you find something you like (provided you’ve got enough tokens!) – it’s yours! But don’t worry if you don’t have enough tokens, you can always purchase more tokens on the night.
3. Fashion swap categories
Upon your donation(s) we will access each item and assign a token category based on a few key metrics including the brand, condition, material quality and retail value. Our categories are:
High street brands (sage tokens)
✅ Topshop, Asos, Zara, Mango, H&M, Next, M&S, Warehouse, Oasis, New Look, Gap
❌ Primark, PLT, Boohoo, Misguided, SHEIN, Supermarket brands (fast fashion brands typically don't last, but if your garment is new or in good condition we will make an exception and help it find a new home).
Premium Brands (peach tokens)
✅ &Other Stories, Whistles, COS, Hobbs, Phase Eight, Reiss, The North Face, Levi's, Diesel, AllSaints, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, DKNY, French Connection, Monsoon, Ted Baker, Jigsaw, Barbour, Massimo Dutti, Jaeger, LK Bennet, Scamp & Dude, The White Company, Karen Millen.
Designer Brands (beige tokens)
✅ Ganni, Rixo, Self Portrait, Needle and Thread, BA&SH, Zadig & Voltaire, Belstaff, Claudie Pierlot, Faithfull the brand, Loveshack Fancy, Sandro, Maje, The Kooples, Ghost.
Premium Designer Brands (brown tokens)
Kenzo, Chloe, Versace, Stella McCartney, Burberry, Missoni, Prada, Gucci, Moschino, Acne Studios, Alexander McQueen, The Vampires Wife, Cult Gaia, Diane Von Furstenberg, Tori Birch.
We also accept accessories (not footwear).
4. Unwanted items
There may be the odd occasion where an item doesn’t find itself a new home, but don’t worry, we have that covered as we will be donating any leftover items to our partnered charity or saving for the next event where they will get another chance to find a new home.
5. Remember that sharing is caring
In the unlikely event that you do not find clothes that you want at our event, just know that you have shared your pre-loved garms with others and prevented them going to waste but on this occasion haven’t found anything you want to take home.
Once you have donated your garms to the swap, you cannot take them back but we are happy for you to keep your tokens and use them at the next swap.
